We’re excited to share a beautiful example of local leadership, innovation, and care in action. The Women’s Federation of Saint Marc (FEFEH) has been turning breadfruit—harvested from trees grown in their very own nursery—into delicious breadfruit chips!
These chips aren’t just a tasty snack. They’re being sold at a subsidized rate to schoolchildren and teachers, including those at Pinson Community School. It’s a grassroots solution that supports both nutrition and income generation, while showcasing the power of women-led initiatives.
🎬 Check out this short video, created by avid community member Tadlé, to see the full process—from harvesting the breadfruit to frying and packaging the chips.
We’re so proud to partner with leaders like FEFEH who are creating sustainable, community-based change—one chip at a time! |
