This past weekend was marked by intense violence in Haiti's capital of Port-au-Prince, as gangs took over more territory in a concerted attempt to overthrow the government. Innocent families have been forced to flee for their lives.
Rayjon's partners in Cap Haitian and St. Marc are geographically distant from the terror, but not immune to its effects. All Rayjon-supported programs continue to function as normally as possible... and as you can see from the above updates, our partners press forward to achieve much success despite the obstacles.
It's a complex situation, without easy solutions. We stand with the Haitian people, who continue to face abuses on all sides. We'll keep you updated as the situation progresses.
Our partners have not lost hope. As we've said before, NOW is the time to invest in the future of Haiti. Now is the time for Haitian-driven solutions.
